This village is famous for its textiles and huipiles, and both the hand-woven cotton material and the embroidery are extremely wonderful. The huipil is decorated with lovely birds and geometric designs on both the front and the back; the overall effect is stunning! Condition is excellent. The fabric is extremely beautiful, and the huipil is finished with lovely tassles of synthetic yarn. Condition is very good; the huipil shows use and some minor fading, which only make the piece softer and more beautiful! Size: 22 1/2 inches wide, side to side, when laid flat, by 25 inches long, not including the fringe on the bottom. Price: $275.

Condition is very good; the huipil has been used and cared for lovingly, and the colors are bright and vibrant. Size: 24 1/2 inches wide, side to side when laid flat, by 22 inches long, not including the fringe at the bottom. Price: $250.

Condition is very good; it has been worn and lovingly cared for, and the traditional Tehuana outfit is complete! Size: the skirt measures 13 inches wide, side to side when laid flat, by 30 inches long; the huipil or embroidered blouse is 20 1/2 inches wide, side to side, by 16 inches long; the headdress is not measured. The piece is woven of very fine cotton and silk threads, and the colors are vibrant. The two ends of the textile are not hemmed, creating a very natural, short fringe. This would be a great runner for a large table, a wonderful framed wall-hanging, or it could be worn around the shoulders as an elegant shawl or rebozo. Condition is very good. They are both finely woven of soft wool, and the colors are vibrant. These can be sold separately or as a pair. Condition of both is excellent. Size: each is 20 1/2 inches long by 9 1/2 inches wide. Condition is excellent given the age of the piece; there are two areas which show slight stains and there are two very small holes. Size: 51 inches wide by 80 inches long, not including fringe. This weaver and his textiles are noted in books about the weaving tradition of Chimayo. Spanish immigrant families began weaving in the village of Chimayo around 1610-20. Condition of the textile is mint! This piece was highly prized by its owners through the years, and, as a result, it was extremely well cared for. Size: 51 1/2 inches wide by 83 inches long. Price: $950.
