FG-2: Mexican tinwork art candle shields properly known as "palmerines" because they resemble trees. Mexico City, c. 1940. Made of tin, hidden in the back or top, is a short holder for a candle. When lit, it gives a flickering light to the entire candlelabra. Palmerines were commonly used in colonial times. Condition is very good, and luckily found as an identical pair. Size: 10 1/4 inches high by 4 3/4 inches at the widest part, by 2 1/4 inches deep.

FG-4: Mexican tinwork art, tin Oaxacan candle holders, Oaxaca, c. 1990. Tin shaped beaver cactus candleholders. Tinwork is done well with punching and stamping. Candleholders stand secure, and can be placed on table or as wall-sconces. The holders for candles is between the front and the back panels. Condition is very good. Size: 7 1/2 inches high by 6 1/4 inches wide at the widest part by 3 inches deep. Price: $100.

Condition is very good. Size: 11 inches high by 9 1/2 inches wide. The central rectangular frame of glass is 6 inches high by 4 inches wide. Price: $95.

The tinwork art is beautiful. Condition is good; the tin spheres on some of the points are missing, which in no way detracts from the overall effect of the piece. Size: 16 inches diameter measured at the longest points. Price: $225.

The ironwork is very well done and the wall sconce is very beautiful and elegant. Condition is very good. Size: 28 inches high by 8 inches wide by 7 1/2 inches deep (front to back). Price: $195.

The artwork is masterful, and the faces of St. Anthony and the Child are beautiful and serene! The woodwork of the handmade frame is wonderful; it could be original to the age of the retablo, or perhaps it was made to house the retablo sometime later. This is a treasure of Mexican colonial art, and certainly by a master. Condition is excellent. Size: 15 1/2 inches wide by 17 inches high, including the frame. The retablo itself is 6 3/4 inches wide by 9 inches high. Price: $1800
